We are currently looking for the following: Maintenance Technician II and Meter Reader Position

Position Summary:

Maintenance Technician:

The District of Pioneer Rural Water is accepting applications for the position of Maintenance Technician II. Job functions include assisting the construction and maintenance of the water system and to perform technical and manual work in the daily operation and maintenance of the water system.  The position will work within a general outline of work to be performed and develops work methods and sequences under the Operation Manager of Pioneer District.

Meter Reader:

The District of Pioneer Rural Water is accepting applications for the position of a Meter Reader. Job functions will include inspecting meters, collecting and documenting meter readings, and communication with customers when necessary.

Position Qualifications:

Maintenance Technician: 

Must be a High School graduate and have two years of related experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Applicant must have a South Carolina Driver’s License. If an applicant has a Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License, CDL, that would be a plus.  Also, an applicant must have a Class C Distribution Certification or be able to obtain within three years if hired. Applicant must be available for operating on a rotating on-call system.

Meter Reader: 

Must be a High School graduate or GED diploma along with a valid South Carolina issued drivers license.
